The omniband utility collar features a 'fingerprinting' system that recognises it's user, and adds a security function that prevents unauthorised users from being able to access it's functions. A detailed permissions system allows it's primary user to add secondary or guest users, whilst permission heirachies allow for the overriding of permissions based on ranking. The device itself hooks directly into the user's nervous system through non-penetrative means. This allows it to directly feed sensory input into the mind, most notably visual and audio, whilst receiving inputs from the user's body. An example would be displaying a screen and keyboard to the user, whilst receiving movements of their hand and claws for input.
