It’s been long accepted that there is more to reality than what most creatures can see. Even on the most fundamental levels, there are spectrums of light that some cannot see, senses that some species have that others do not, experiences that are completely alien to creatures of a different genus.

Not all creatures are born alike, with some having the ability to draw upon powers that can only be called magic. Energies that exist within reality that cannot be seen or touched by most creatures, but can be brought from one state into another to interact with the physical plane in ways that seem impossible.

It is from research into “magic” that has lead me into exploring the limits of existence, exploring the many layers of what one might call a reality.

• The Physical realm. The physical realm is one that most seem to exist upon. Physical matter interacting within predictable patterns. When a rock hits another, it imparts energy. When a creature is born, it lives, and it dies. There is ultimately very little else to explain, it’s very mundane.
• Leylines “Underneath” the physical realm are many layers of reality that have been named “Leylines”. Each is separate from each other, but traversing between them is far easier than passing from the physical realm to these. They appear to be mostly shapeless void, but the space within them is impressionable. It can be molded by strong enough wills, shaping existence within this seeming nothingness. They are also seemingly shaped by realms close to them. The leyline most closest to the physical realm for example looks mostly the same as the physical realm, and often one may even see phantoms of creatures on the other side.
• The Primal realm The “lowest” realm, most closest to the nothingness between realities (if others even exist) has been dubbed the primal realm. This appears to be nothing but pure energy, and physical entities passing through are irretrievable; likely annihilated. This appears to be the source of Mother’s Blood, which then disperses through the leylines, breaking into the spectrum of different energies that we are able to then interact with; From fundamental elemental powers to mana.
