Studying the intricacies of realities is, not easy. When one is confined to the boundaries of existence, trying to examine from the outside is almost impossible. When we discovered the existence of Leylines, the possibilities of research into existence and the limits of stuff had expanded greatly.
It’s common for us to describe these Leylines as, layers of reality. Where the physical realm exists on the top most, Leylines are then layers of lesser realities that weaken until one reaches the void of the cosmos. This is overly simplified as a stack of paper almost. Comparing our understanding of 3D space to that of 2D space. Four dimensions is hard to wrap your head around.
The existence of other realities further complicates this. But I feel I’ve come up with a more, appropriate analogy.
If we imagine our reality as a solid orb, that’s laid upon a cloth, the ripples of cloth that surround it as it moves can be imagined as Leylines. Impressions upon the void around our reality that aren’t as defined. Each reality that exists within the cosmos exists as another orb upon this cloth, each one making it’s own ripples.
We know that traversing between Leylines is possible, even if extremely dangerous. My theory is that this is the key to traversing between realities.
If two of these orbs move close to each other, their ripples collide. They merge and disperse. It’s entirely possible that two realities close together, could impact their ‘impressions’ upon the void. Their Leylines could collide, and possible merge at points. If one could traverse Leylines with some form of navigation, they could potentially reach these points, and theoretically…
Cross into another reality.
