From The Mother comes her flesh and her blood, and from these are world is created.

The mythos of our worlds, is that they are created from two fundamental part. One known mythically as Mother’s Flesh which creates the physical world.

The other, which this series of notes look to explore is Mother’s Blood, which is non-physical energies.

Mother’s Blood is the raw energy that exists outside of our physical world. A never ending stream of potent energy that flows around and through our physical world. This raw energy is not something us mere mortals will encounter though, instead it’s the derivatives.

Mother’s Blood filters into our reality as two primal energies. One we call Radiance and one we call Void. These two primal energies are opposed to each other, incompatible with each other. When they mix, the stronger one is weakened, and the lesser is extinguished. These primal energies lead to what we call life and death.

All living things carry within them a spark of Radiance. A small flicker of flame which gives them their life. Any being that exists without this flame cannot be called life, but rather, unlife. The undead. These creatures carry the hole of the Void within them.

Beings born of life are able to draw upon their Radiance, and are able to induce growth around them, bringing strength and power to the physical world around them. Their strength is tied to the brightness of this flame of Radiance. They are givers.

Those born of death can only take from what surrounds them. Their strength is not tied to what they can give, or provide, but instead in how much they can consume. Their strength is tied to how deep their hunger is, how ravenous the Void within them can be.

In this, life and death are opposed to each other. Death feeds upon life, but Radiance can burn away the hunger of Void and snuff it out. In the end, the stronger force continues but weakened as the lesser is defeated.
