Radiance and Void aren’t just two sources of existence, but are also spectrums of energy and anti-energy. Two ranges of power which can manifest within the physical world.

Just as light can manifest as a spectrum of colour, Radiance and Void manifest as a field of mana which can then interact with the physical world.

Just as light can be broken down into reds, greens, and blues of which the mixes of create the range of colours, both Radiance and Void can be broken down into three distinct “hues”.

Radiance

Radiance can be broken down into

• Growth (top)
  • Growth mana displays properties of giving size and strength. It induces growth.
• Amp (right)
  • Amp mana displays properties of giving energy and power. It amplifies.
• Morph (left)
  • Morph mana displays properties of giving structure of shape. It induces change.

Void

Void can be broken down into

• Decay (bottom)
  • Decay mana is the inverse of Growth. It breaks down structure, reducing size. It weakens.
• Exhaust (left)
  • Exhaust mana is the inverse of Amp. It suffocates and siphons energy. It drains.
• Splinter (right)
  • Splinter mana is the inverse of Morph. It induces rigidness and brittleness. It petrifies.

Whilst the spectrums cannot be mixed together, the mana within a spectrum can. Just as red, green, and blue can be mixed to create oranges, yellows, and purples, the three corners of each spectrum can be mixed together to create “hues” of mana which carry traits of the mana used to create them.

It’s by mixing different hues of mana together, that one is able to manifest the resulting attributes within the physical world as magic. In this, magic casting and spells is less of drawing upon ancient incantations as it is portrayed in fantasy media and more of an alchemic process, mixing the correct ingredients together to create the resulting effect.
