In my research of the physical realm and beyond, a common term arises. More often than not, it has some ties to a religion of sorts. Whilst it is true we exist in a realm where divine beings seem to have once lived, I doubt many, if any, of the religious texts have the truth.
Souls in religious texts are what give an individual their identity, and it persists after death. In my experience, this isn’t entirely true.
What I have come to understand as “The Soul” of an individual, is instead an imprint of them. A shadow from this plane upon the next almost. It’s shaped by who they are. Who they were.
It does not create an individual, nor give them identity. However, it is entirely possible that this shadow, if transplanted onto something without an identity, it could imprint an identity upon that something.
It is not something you can take from an individual. No moreso than you can take one’s shadow. At best, you’d simply remove that imprint temporarily, and a new one would form with time.
What matters more to an individual, is their Life Force, and what I have dubbed, their Inner Strength.
An individual’s Life Force and Inner Strength are tied close together. The Life Force is what gives an individual their, well, their life. Born of either Radiance or Void. It’s what dictates if something is alive, or undead.
Their Inner Strength however, stems from that Life Force. This is what an individual draws upon for innate abilities. It is the power that fills them from their Life Force.
The Life Force is the tap, the Inner Strength is what flows from it. The source and the energy.
