The Klu’Rangas are a tribal dragon species, who live within the feral forest regions of Garden Terra II.

They have a draconic appearance, with some notable differences from other draconic species. Their facial structures are softer and rounder, more akin to canine with rounder snouts and flatter faces. Their ears are large and teardrop in shape, often folded back, but able to tilt and curl in a large number of directions. On the top of their head and down their neck, almost akin to hair, are long, thin quill-like spines. These are soft to the touch, but can erect similar to the quills of a hedgehog.

Their overall build is slim, but muscular, with long kangaroo-like legs and hand-like feet with hook-like toe claws. This is likely to aid them in climbing trees, traversing between trees, and jumping up or down from trees.

They have two long, thin tails that show full dexterity, capable of being utilised as additional limbs for grabbing and carrying things. Similar to monkeys, these are often used to aid in balance, as well as gripping branches. These limbs are strong enough to hold up the creature.

It’s to be noted, the Klu’Rangas are highly athletic, being incredibly strong, fast, and nimble despite their thin frames. Thanks to their hooked claws, and their powerful legs, they are able to achieve impressive feats of speed, jump height, and climbing skill.

The creatures do wear clothing, however seem to enjoy minimal dress. Mostly loincloths and the such, light fabrics that are more for show of status, or for carrying tools. Most will wear decorations made from various bones, seemingly as trophies from hunts. The hunters and fighters of the tribes will often wear armours made from other creatures, most notably Venomous Silker Trappas, which are known to have durable plating and commonly prey upon the tribespeople. The most common type of trophy appears to be various masks or helmets made from skulls of previous hunts.

As they live in threat of Venomous Silker Trappas, those who venture from the village, often carry with them specially crafted daggers for removing themselves from webbing, and many will even harvest the venoms from the predators to poison their weapons, occasionally crafting weapons from the predator’s bones or scales.

On a more cultural note, tribes will often make charms from their dead. Carving trinkets from bones, and weaving cloth from their scales. These charms are often of high importance, and attempting to remove them will often be met with violence.

Due to the nature of the planet they reside on, they are quite adept in various magics. Because the soils and trees often produce mana-rich crystals, the creatures will harvest them to create potions and powders for various uses, most commonly, healing. They are also adept at using special paints made from crystals and flowers, or certain flowers themselves to hide from various predators, showing a keen intelligence among the creatures.

The creatures are also highly spiritual in nature, often building various temples and alters around their villages and within, as well as engaging in spiritual activities. Often, high ranking members of the tribe will take on roles similar to priests. Adept members seem to be able to commune with creatures from other planes of existence, as well as summoning them to their world. Many are able to conjure familiars, and many seem to interact frequently with various dream beasts.

The creatures are fairly relaxed, and open to outsiders. They will converse, to the best of their abilities, and often trade with those outside their tribe. They are often noted as being playful and mischievous, pranking and messing about with travellers who stray too close. It is light hearted however, and they will heal, house, or feed the needy.

Sexually speaking, the creatures are relaxed and open. They don’t seem to take mates, but instead seem to fall into very loose ‘circles’ of sexual partners that overlap, or come and go. The exception to this is during fertility seasons, in which males with compete for breeding rights. Once over however, the young are raised communally, and no grudges seem to be held.
